Skills • Ability to organize, problem-solve, and make decisions in emergency situations • Knowledge of the street and highway system within the service area Responsibilities • Provide advanced life support care to sick and injured individuals of all ages • Safely transport patients to medical facilities • Assist with other services and events as directed Qualifications • Successfully completed paramedic training program from an accredited institution (Associate of Science degree preferred) • Previous ambulance and/or advanced life support experience is preferred Education Requirements For Ground Paramedics: • Current Minnesota or Wisconsin Paramedic Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire) • American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Certification or American Red Cross ALS and BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days • Valid State Class D driver’s license with an acceptable driving record • American Heart Association or American Red Cross PALS Certification • ICS-100, ICS-200, and ICS-700 (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire) For Air Care Paramedics: • Current Minnesota Paramedic Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire) • Current Wisconsin Paramedic Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire) • National Registered Paramedic • American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Certification or American Red Cross ALS and BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days • Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C) within 12 months of hire • American Heart Association and American Red Cross PALS Certification upon hire or within 14 days • ICS-100, ICS-200, and ICS-700 (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire) • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire) • Maximum weight of 215 pounds in uniform Education Requirements Credential Category Paramedic Training from an accredited institution Experience Requirements • Previous ambulance and/or advanced life support experience is preferred Why work in Grand Rapids, MN Grand Rapids offers a community-focused lifestyle with access to beautiful natural surroundings.
