Job Description:
? Fully Remote Position
? 24/25 School Year
? 1099 Contract
? Work with students with varying disabilities
? Specific caseload details to be discussed during the interview
Responsibilities:
? Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, administrators, and other professionals.
? Use assessment tools and strategies to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
? Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement.
? Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to ensure effective inclusion and accommodations.
? Employ diverse teaching techniques to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
? Monitor and document student progress, behaviors, and achievements while maintaining accurate records.
? Engage with parents and guardians to foster communication and involve them in their child’s educational journey.
? Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and other school-related activities as required.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Teaching/Special Education
? Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in North Carolina
? Previous experience with students with special needs preferred
? Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in special education
? Experience with virtual learning is a plus
