Our Care Solutions, Analytics, Implementations, Clinical and Business Operations, and Learning and Development teams work tirelessly in partnership with our clients and stakeholders in communities to address the real-life healthcare needs people have every day.    As a Manager, Medical Economics Analytics, you will: - This role operates in a dyad partnership with the Lead Population Health Analyst, ensuring a coordinated approach to identifying cost and utilization opportunities alongside clinical and quality performance insights. Together, these roles form a strategic analytics leadership pair, responsible for delivering integrated, high-impact information to drive action across the organization and to clients. - Engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders across clinical, operational, and executive teams to provide meaningful insights that drive performance for Navvis and its clients. - Serve as a trusted advisor, translating complex data into actionable insights that enable financially sustainable care and performance improvement. - Collaborate closely with the Lead Population Health Analyst to ensure consistency, alignment, and synergy across all analytics deliverables and client engagements.   A day in the life:  - Lead complex analyses focused on medical cost trends, utilization patterns, financial performance, and risk adjustment. - Identify actionable opportunities to increase appropriate utilization and optimize cost of care. - Consult and collaborate with clinical, financial, and operational teams internal and external to Navvis to determine and prioritize insights needed, manage delivery, and interpret strategic and tactical implications of insights. - Extract meaningful insights by creating opportunity assessments, driver analyses, dashboards, and other products. - Translate insights into strategic recommendations for internal stakeholders and clients. - Develop and monitor key performance indicators of costs, utilization, and risk adjustment performance. - Lead and mentor junior analysts. - Develop, contribute to, and implement best practices and standards that create high-value, meaningful, and accurate insights.  - Ensure data and analysis quality, and alignment with enterprise standards. What success looks like in this role: - This role is central to identifying and quantifying medical cost, utilization, and risk adjustment opportunities that drive performance improvement across our client base.  - This role also contributes to projections and evaluations of the financial impacts of new or existing programs and solutions on cost outcomes and service utilization.  - The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise and experience in healthcare economics, claims data analysis, and cost containment strategies—while embodying the core attributes of a high-value analytics professional.    High-Value Attributes:  - Growth Mindset: Eager to solve problems, learn from challenges, and deliver smarter insights. - Technical Aptitude: Codes efficiently, validates work rigorously, and aligns analysis with role complexity. - Business Fluency: Understands strategic priorities and translates data into high-impact decisions. - Consultative Approach: Delivers tailored insights through agile problem-solving and project management. - Data Storytelling: Crafts and translates compelling narratives with visualizations and presentations. Requirements    We’re excited about you if you have these things:  - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field—e.g., economics, actuarial science, finance, statistics, data science, applied mathematics, economics, business analytics, etc.; Master’s degree strongly preferred - 5-7 years performing medical economics analysis in a payer, health system, and/or provider setting. - High proficiency in SQL and statistical programming (SAS, R, Python, etc.) to extract, manipulate, and analyze data. - Experience and expertise with data visualization tools, healthcare data platforms, cost of care tools. and cost and utilization benchmarks. - Broad and deep expertise in the analysis of medical and pharmacy claims data, drivers of unit costs and utilization of care, total cost of care, and risk adjustment. - Strong project management skills and ability to lead through influence.  - Exemplary written, verbal and storytelling communication skills, with the ability to effectively share complex information with a variety of audiences.   What you'll get: Navvis is committed to attracting the most insightful and motivated talent by providing a candidate and onboarding experience that you won't find elsewhere!
