Job Characteristics: Company: City of Concord Location: Concord, USA (with two potential locations: Baldwin Preschool and Concord Centre) Start Date: Immediate openings available Compensation: Competitive hourly rate ($15.99 - $27.52 per hour) Position: Part-time, limited service The Preschool Program: Our Preschool Program has been serving the community for over 30 years, providing a play-based curriculum that encourages children to develop social skills, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime. Our teachers are trained in early childhood development and are dedicated to helping children develop language and social skills in a safe and positive environment. Responsibilities: As a Preschool Aide or Preschool Teacher, your responsibilities will include: Providing a safe and creative environment for participants Establishing positive relationships with children, parents, and staff Assisting the teacher in duties performed to implement the program Actively participating in activities and trips General housekeeping and maintenance of the facility Requirements: To be considered for this role, you should: Possess excellent customer service skills Be flexible, yet dependable Have strong social and communication skills Be able to work on short notice Embrace, promote, and be guided by our department's values and principles Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: For Preschool Aide: Satisfactory completion of high school or equivalent, with a minimum of one year or season of experience working with preschool-age children For Preschool Teacher: Twelve (12) Early Childhood Education units, with a minimum of one year or season of experience working with children in a preschool setting Ability to clear TB test and fingerprint check Must successfully complete American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR/AED training at time of hire, if not already certified How to Apply: To apply, please submit a completed City of Concord application and the required supplemental question responses online.
