Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced In-Person Test Prep Tutor to join our team in Illinois. As a tutor with Applerouth, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives, helping them achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their abilities. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one, in-home test prep tutoring to students in the Chicago metro area (Chicago, Evanston, Winnetka, Glenview, Highland Park) Develop and implement personalized learning plans to help students achieve their goals Utilize extensive knowledge of the SAT and ACT, as well as pedagogical strategies, to tutor students effectively Participate in paid training and regular supplemental training to stay up-to-date on changes to tests and pedagogy Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment Requirements: Empathy, creativity, strong communication skills, and a desire to help others Reliable transportation and high-speed internet Prior tutoring or teaching experience is a plus SAT, ACT, or other standardized test scores At least one year of college Access to reliable transportation (many sessions will take place in students' homes or a mutually amenable location) Benefits: Competitive starting rates: $30-35/hr Non-taxed travel compensation Frequent hourly bonus opportunities Annual reviews with raise opportunities Paid training Self-determined schedule Referral program Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: We believe that diversity and inclusion enrich education and drive success.
