Job Description: Join the Disney Live Entertainment team as a Show Control Design Intern and play a crucial role in bringing magical worlds to life through innovative storytelling and technical expertise. This 6-month internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in show control and network systems, working on live shows, parades, stage shows, and special events at Disney theme parks, resort hotels, and cruise ships. About the Role: As a Show Control Design Intern, you will be part of a diverse team representing various disciplines and talents. You will work closely with designers, engineers, safety, production, and facility teams to develop and execute systems and network architectures for live shows and facility infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting designers with project development and execution of systems and network architectures for live shows and facility infrastructure Crafting cohesive, coordinated systems for DLE shows, atmosphere, and park-wide control through the effective execution of the creative process Providing technical skill in the development and implementation of concept, design, development, support, and oversight of all networking, automation, motor control, and documentation related to any show system Collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize, organize, and problem-solve during installation, focus, and cueing through delivery of multiple projects Attending and engaging at Disney Live Entertainment seminars and meetings Requirements: Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of network technology and equipment Ability to learn new software applications as appropriate Familiarity with the Entertainment industry and a creative background Demonstrated proficiency with general computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Education: Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program Must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting Currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or recent graduate, pursuing a degree in the technical aspects of show control, machine automation, or computer networking, with a focus on live show entertainment Additional Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorization Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Program Available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) Able to provide own housing in the Orlando, FL area and have reliable transportation to/from work Apply Now: Seize this opportunity to make a significant impact.
