Job Title: Mounter/Proofer - 12 Hour Night Shift Opportunity

Join Our Team: Become a Mounter/Proofer at Sonoco Products Company We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mounter/Proofer to join our team in Hickory, NC. As a Mounter/Proofer, you will play a critical role in our pre-press operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient mounting of printing plates according to company and customer specifications. This is a 12-hour night shift position, working a 2-2-3 schedule from 7pm-7am. About the Role: Operate a mounter/proofer machine to mount plates according to company and customer specifications Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to AIB/HACCP/5S programs, laws, and regulations Complete all required New Hire Safety and Food Safety Training Mount plates according to job orders, checking artwork, samples, and spec sheets for accuracy Adhere to all Federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations related to Environmental Health and Safety requirements Notify the Pre-Press Manager of any questions or problems with the order or plates Verify adequate adaptors are available to mount jobs and ensure all adaptors are clean before use Make determinations regarding quality and accuracy of work, where accuracy is critical Fill out and sign QA sheets verifying mount job accuracy Report any mechanical problems with the proofer to the Pre-Press Manager Requirements: Thorough knowledge of company proofing procedures and quality standards Technical knowledge of printing presses, bag machines, colors, film types, and properties Familiarity with artwork and ability to read and interpret work orders, proofs, spec sheets, and artwork Operating knowledge of proofing machines and knowledge of plate storage and preparation Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan with company match Wellbeing tools and resources to support holistic health Paid time off and holidays Tuition reimbursement Join Our Team: Sonoco Products Company is an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
