Sanders Industries Holdings (SIHI) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Intern to join our HR team. This role offers hands-on experience supporting full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced, high-volume environment across multiple sites and business units.
The Talent Acquisition Intern will partner closely with recruiters to support sourcing, screening, scheduling, and recruitment operations while also gaining exposure to employer branding, talent market research, and recruiting strategy. Job Accountabilities:
- Assist in posting job openings through our applicant tracking system (ATS) and external job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Review and update job descriptions, including optimizing titles and content for candidate attraction
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates based on job requirements
- Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications, interest, and alignment with role requirements
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, including Microsoft Teams interviews
- Maintain and update candidate records in the ATS, including accurate dispositioning and sending candidate communications
- Assist in batching and organizing candidate slates for recruiter and hiring manager review
- Help prepare interview materials, screening guides, and intake notes for new requisitions
- Support pre-employment processes, including background check tracking and onboarding coordination with Site HR
- Communicate new hire updates and status changes to Site HR teams
- Assist with intake preparation by gathering role details, required qualifications, and market insights
- Monitor requisition activity, including applicant flow, aging requisitions, and follow-up on hiring manager feedback
- Support weekly requisition cleanup efforts, including dispositioning candidates and ensuring ATS accuracy
- Conduct research on talent market trends, competitor job postings, and sourcing strategies to improve pipeline quality
- Assist with sourcing candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, and campus platforms (e.g., Handshake)
- Support employer branding initiatives, including drafting LinkedIn posts and promoting open roles
- Assist in organizing recruitment events, career fairs, and intern program activities
- Track progress, deadlines, and priorities of assigned Talent Acquisition/HR projects
- Provide general administrative and project support to the Talent Acquisition team as needed
Job Specifications:
Education:
High School Diploma/GED required and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience:
0–2+ years of relevant work or internship experience
Skills & Competencies:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Familiarity with job boards and recruiting platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Personable and able to interact with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
