Instructor or Assistant Professor - Human Services (9-Month)

Job Summary: Join our team at Blue Ridge Community College as an Instructor or Assistant Professor in Human Services! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to lead our Human Services Associate in Applied Science degree and related career studies certificate program. As a key member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives and contribute to the college's mission of providing high-quality education and workforce training. Responsibilities: Teach Human Services, Mental Health, Psychology, and Sociology courses Coordinate and supervise student internship experiences Foster relationships with area Human Services Agencies Program assessment and curriculum development Assist with onboarding, training, mentoring, and management of adjunct instructors Provide advising and support to students Participate in scholarly and professional activities Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Public Health, or a related discipline Associate's degree with demonstrated competency also considered Minimum of two years' related occupational experience Demonstrated dedication to teaching and commitment to the community college mission Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in a related discipline Community college or university teaching experience Course work or experience in adult development or gerontology Supervisory experience Experience delivering online instruction What We Offer: Competitive salary: $49,711 - $77,871 per year 9-month contract Opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive learning environment Professional development opportunities Location: Augusta County, VA (Remote options available) How to Apply: Click "Apply Now" to submit your application and take the first step towards joining our team!
