• *About The Role**
The IT Architect II at CHRISTUS Health plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust IT systems that support the organization’s operational and strategic objectives. This position involves developing comprehensive system infrastructure, ensuring security protocols, and establishing application architecture frameworks. • *Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience working with complex IT systems within large corporate environments.
• At least four (4) years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, software development, system administration, or system architecture.
• Proven expertise in system or application performance modeling and tuning.
• TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) certification is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present technical solutions effectively to all management levels.
• Ability to lead and guide teams through complex design and implementation processes.

• Assist in developing the organization’s information system vision and strategic plans aligning with business goals.
• Research and evaluate new systems and technologies, conducting beta testing to determine suitability within the CHRISTUS environment.
• Evaluate proposed system acquisitions, providing critical input on compatibility, cost, resource requirements, and operational impact.
• Develop and recommend standards, procedures, and best practices for various technology domains.
• Participate in the design and implementation of proactive data collection and reporting processes to monitor system performance.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of current IT certifications and emerging industry trends to ensure technological relevance.
• Design and model infrastructure architectures, performing capacity planning to meet future demands.
• Provide leadership and guidance on architecture design initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, flexible, and aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop and enforce technical standards and best practices.
• Engage with stakeholders during requirements gathering, discovery, and solution development to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Evaluate new system proposals and modifications, offering oversight and strategic input to decision-making processes.
