About the position The IBM iSeries (AS400) System Operations and Administration position involves providing technical support and administration for IBM i environments in a cloud setting. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, system administration tasks, and collaboration with a support team. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day technical support for IBM i, iSeries, and AS/400 environments. , Perform backups, migrations, release updates, PTF's, and disaster recovery testing. , Assist with system administration and perform system restores. , Setup and monitor backups, install PTF's and fixes, and setup LPARS. , Troubleshoot system problems and assist with help desk tasks. , Work as a member of a support team and individually, with occasional after-hours work. , Develop strong customer relationships and promote deeper involvement by sales and services team. Requirements 2+ years of IBM i (AS400) technical support or operator experience. , Excellent communication skills and a high level of customer service. , Ability to work on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. , Proven ability to work with little supervision and a detail-oriented approach. Nice-to-haves IBM Flash Storage experience. , Virtual Tape Library (VTL) experience. , Passion for technology and a desire to learn new skills quickly.
