Role Description
As an Associate Cybersecurity Analyst supporting the Cybersecurity Engineering Operations Team, you’ll help maintain, monitor, and support the Cybersecurity Capabilities that protect Southwest Airlines and reduce our cyber risk and attack surface.
• Partner closely with engineers to assist with ongoing projects
• Produce clear and accurate documentation
• Help implement new products and procedures
• Coordinate response activities
• Support Agile and ITIL practices
• Strengthen monitoring and alerting capabilities
• Contribute to development work in ServiceNow and scripting
• Play a vital role on the Team for internal customer support with Cybersecurity Capabilities
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
Requirements
• Entry-level experience
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and concepts
• Developing skills and knowledge in information technology (IT) operations, programming, systems/software development, or another IT-related field
• Ability to take on multiple assignments while maintaining a successful level of completion
• Knowledge and understanding of core cybersecurity concepts, terminology, and common security tools
• Ability to monitor and analyze security events and logs
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate security-related information
• Ability to identify and address basic security issues and anomalies
