Bandera ISD operates on a 4-Day instructional week (Mon.-Thurs.) for the 2024-25 school year. Athletic/Extra-curricular events will be held as required on all weekdays Start Date: Immediate Responsibilities: Position is responsible for teaching High School level Computer Science and Mathematics courses. Grades: 9th - 12th Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university - Texas Teaching License and appropriate endorsements for the grade levels and subjects taught Additional Information: - Team planning with colleagues to ensure high quality instruction and assessment - Develop, modify and prepare curricula to ensure high quality instruction based upon student abilities and skill levels - Provide classroom instruction to whole groups, small groups, and individuals - Demonstrate the effective use of technology to enhance instruction and support student interest and growth - Design assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways. - Collect and analyze student data to drive instruction - Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff, and provide meaningful feedback - Communicate necessary information and student progress regularly to students, colleagues, and parents - Work cohesively with the campus staff in a fast-paced atmosphere - Work cooperatively with Special Education teachers to modify curricula, and instruct and assess Special Education students in the regular classroom - Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) - Participate in staff development activities and improve job-related skills Interested applicants may contact Dr. Patrick Sizemore, BHS Principal, at [email protected] for more information.
