Health Careers Program Coordinator
This position is full-time (40 hours a week), 60% remote. Evening and weekend availability is required.
What You'll Do
• The Health Careers Pathway Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the organization's Health Careers Pathways Program.
• In collaboration with the Executive Director, Health Careers Pathway Coordinator develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders including high schools, healthcare education programs, healthcare and public health organizations and agencies, and potential event sponsors.
• The coordinator promotes, coordinates and implements workshops, activities, and events to engage, recruit, and support high school and undergraduate students interested in healthcare careers.
• Compile regular reports to reflect program implementation and tracking progress.
• Conduct and support long-term follow-up data collection on program participants for program evaluation.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program goals.
• Stay up to date with trends and best practices related to healthcare workforce development and pathway programming to enhance the effectiveness of the organization's strategic golas.
• Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in education, public health, health planning, communications, psychology, social work or a related field.
• A minimum of two years experience in the following:
Supporting, developing, planning, and implementation of workforce development programs
• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.

Skills and Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Demonstrated writing skills (English fluency) for published content designed for youth and young adult audiences and mediums, proposal preparation, reporting and other assigned tasks.
Demonstrated experience assisting with program planning, promotion, implementation, and/or evaluation.
Strong writing and proofreading skills.
Excellent time management, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organization skills and high level of attention to detail
Ability to problem solve
Takes initiative and self-directed as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
Ability and willingness to travel to AHEC regions in Maryland, with occasional overnight.
Required
Reliable transportation; this position requires travel throughout Central Maryland, concentrating efforts in Carroll, Howard, and Baltimore Counties.#J-18808-Ljbffr
