They are seeking a Gas System Associate Analyst to support gas & electric asset management strategies, maintain GIS data integrity, and assist in emergency efforts. The role involves mapping, data reconciliation, and delivering training to staff.
Responsibilities
- As-built mapping and maintenance of electric, gas, and land GIS facility data in accordance with standards, operating procedures and appropriate state and federal code requirements
- Reconcile data between GIS and related auxiliary systems
- Maintain network connectivity of gas and electric distribution systems
- Prepare various maps, reports and charts using software tools to support staff & field
- Maintain GIS gas & electric standards and procedures including drawings and diagrams
- Deliver training to staff and field personnel
- Promote awareness of GIS and leverage the use of GIS
- Support gas & electric emergency and storm related efforts
Skills
- Demonstrates fundamental technical knowledge and analytical skills
- Experience in directly related technical field is beneficial such as gas distribution operations, process control operations, mapping/GPS applications, corrosion prevention operations, gas system control operations and/or gas distribution code compliance
- Relevant experience is based on the specific role of the position, e.g. Instrumentation and Control, Maps and Records, Corrosion and Standards
- Associate's degree in related technical field is preferred
