Position Overview
The Finance Clerk is responsible for various administrative tasks and will provide administrative support to Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record Keeping, and any other aspect of the Finance Department. This position works closely with Finance personnel and third-party stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities (can include but are not limited to):
Financial Data Management
- Accurately record financial transactions in the Organization’s accounting system.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Compare bank statements with internal records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
· Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in financial records
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process invoices, verify their accuracy, and ensure timely payments.
- Issue and track customer invoices and process incoming payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances regularly.
Payroll Assistance
- Support payroll processing by preparing necessary data and records.
- Ensure compliance with tax and employment regulations regarding payroll.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare routine financial reports, including expense summaries and account statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and audits.
Administrative Support
- Manage and organize financial documents for easy retrieval and reference.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Compliance and Audit Support
- Ensure financial operations comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
- Consistently meet all assigned productivity and outcome goals.
- Comply with all contracts, funder requirements, and City Net procedures and policies.
- Represent City Net in a professional manner
- Meet or exceed all goals and requirements established for the position.
Requirements
- Familiarity with basic bookkeeping, financial processes, and regulations
- Confident and efficient skills in MS 365 Suite (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
- Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn payroll software, Expensify, and similar computer applications
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining creativity and strategic thinking and continuing to meet or exceed goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
