With a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, you'll be rewarded for your hard work and dedication. **About the Role:** In this exciting position, you'll be responsible for leading the design and development of our mechanical ride systems, from concept to installation. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our rides meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and innovation. Your expertise will be essential in driving the success of our projects, and you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the entertainment industry. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design and develop innovative ride systems that meet our high standards of quality, safety, and innovation * Collaborate with key stakeholders to define system requirements and user experience * Lead the daily activities of a design and development team through all phases of work, including planning, mockups, production, installation, testing, turnover, and close-out efforts * Develop and maintain extension, examination, testing, risk, and report records * Oversee the management and oversight of sellers and contractors * Develop and deliver advanced models and drawings * Lead and manage the installation of ride mechanical equipment, field support, and testing * Collaborate with the project acquisition team to assess, bid, and award outside contractor contracts **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field * High-level mechanical engineering experience (e.g., statics, dynamics, resistances, kinematics, stress/strain) * High-level mechanical design expertise (e.g., machine design, weldments, power train, materials) * Proficiency with design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Navisworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, ANSYS, FEA, Matlab) * Unparalleled design sensibilities and innovative problem-solving skills * Strong communication and collaboration skills **Preferred Qualifications:** * Past experience in the entertainment industry, with advanced knowledge of the business * Experience with life safety plan/prerequisites * Experience with model, development, or potentially innovative products * Technical certifications (EIT, FE, PE) **What We Offer:** * Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package * Opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the development of our next-generation ride systems * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Professional development and growth opportunities * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance **Join our team and be part of something amazing!** If you're a motivated and innovative mechanical engineer with a passion for design and development, we want to hear from you.
