Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Virtual Data Entry Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient medication orders. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will utilize your excellent communication skills and technical expertise to provide exceptional patient care and support. This is a remote work opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home in Arizona, USA. Key Responsibilities - Precisely read, interpret, and enter medication orders into our computer system, including dosage calculations and instruction assignments - Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accurate and timely processing of medication orders - Contact physicians' offices and insurance companies to clarify any discrepancies or issues with patient medication orders - Respond to patient calls to manage new and existing medication orders, including benefits verification and reorder processing - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and medication orders - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and support Essential Qualifications - Valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician license - At least 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy setting - Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email - Excellent keyboarding skills and ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8-10 hours) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications - 6 months of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a specialty mail order pharmacy setting - 90 days of experience handling customer inquiries and resolving issues via phone - Experience working in healthcare, including knowledge of medical terminology, benefits, and insurance - Familiarity with clinical billing, coding, and other clinical support roles - Customer service experience in an office environment, with excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills - 6 months of professional work experience, including inbound and outbound phone customer service Skills and Competencies - Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process medication orders - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals - Proficiency in computer applications, including data entry and record-keeping systems - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time management skills - Empathy and compassion, with ability to provide exceptional patient care and support Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
