**Job Summary**
As a Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for new customers, providing accurate and timely information on medical billing, patient care, and third-party reimbursement. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless communication and efficient processing of medical billing and customer inquiries. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask will be essential in this role.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, referral sources, and employees, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of medical billing and customer inquiries.
* Process new orders, respond to questions, resolve issues, or forward to appropriate personnel in a timely manner to ensure patient, referral, and employee satisfaction.
* Collect co-pays and deductible amounts, conduct insurance verification and eligibility for services/products, and obtain authorization and qualification documentation.
* Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA/DOT and JCAHO guidelines.
* Maintain accuracy and quality control throughout patient contact and data input, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Work extensively with eIntake proprietary system, performing tasks related to patient care and third-party reimbursement.
* Build relationships with locations, field management, patients, and referral sources, providing education on qualifications for service and 3rd-party billing.
* Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, data entry, outbound calling, and quality assurance.
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
* One year of related work experience, preferred
* Experience with medical billing practices and of billing reimbursement, preferred
* Experience in medical field and administrative record management, preferred
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred
* Certification in medical billing or coding, preferred

* Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
* Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
* Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual)
* Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and caution when handling sensitive information
