**Job Description:**
The Client Arrangements Designing group at arenaflex is responsible for providing functional support for our DMED's group of customer-facing advanced products, triaging multiple product issues on a monthly basis, while also providing feature development support in line with other DTCI Designing groups. In addition to feature development support, the Client Arrangements group serves as the primary entry point for junior programmers, providing a vehicle for new hires to become familiar with the DMED/ESPN tech stack, gain exposure to all of our customer-facing digital products, and discover areas of interest within the programming domain. Our goal is to prepare knowledgeable programmers for a potential transition into specialized roles within different groups in the DTCI Organization.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Support back-end stages that power DMED's group of customer-facing products
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy web and cloud applications
* Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality code
* Work independently and as part of a small, agile development team
* Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
* Participate in code refactoring, optimization, and performance improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with QA engineers to identify and resolve defects
* Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers
**Essential Qualifications:**
* 2+ years of experience in software development, preferably in a full-stack role
* Strong proficiency in Java, with experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns
* Experience with all stages of the software development lifecycle, including unit testing, code reviews, and documentation
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy
* Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
* Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, EC2, S3, SQS, Lambda, and DynamoDB
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience with open-source frameworks and tools, such as Spring, Testing, Junit, Mockito, GitHub/GitLab
* Experience with lightweight containers, such as Docker
* Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or Cassandra
* Experience with cloud-based services, such as AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions
* Experience with containerization, such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
* Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins or CircleCI
