As a key member of our customer service team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional support to patients and healthcare providers, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This is a fully remote opportunity, with a flexible schedule that allows you to work from the comfort of your own home. **Key Responsibilities** As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist, your key responsibilities will include: * Reviewing and identifying issues from calls into our telephony system in a timely manner (50%) * Maintaining a working knowledge of workflow systems in order to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate appropriately (10%) * Ensuring all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately while providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines (10%) * Performing payment transactions and requesting payment from accounts reflecting a balance (10%) * Assisting with clerical duties as needed, such as email, facsimile, etc. (10%) * Requiring close supervision and guidance from the supervisor (10%) **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Proficiency in workflow systems and software applications * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, we prefer candidates with: * 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience * Experience working in a healthcare setting * Knowledge of medical billing and coding principles * Certification in medical billing or coding (e.g. CPC, CCS) **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Proficiency in software applications, including workflow systems and Microsoft Office * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop their careers.
