**Job Summary**
As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Discord server, maintaining a positive community atmosphere, and upholding our community guidelines. This is a part-time, remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team. **Key Responsibilities**
* Moderate the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all interactions are respectful and adhere to our community guidelines
* Delete messages that violate our rules, including but not limited to:
+ Hate speech or discriminatory language
+ Spam or self-promotional content
+ Inflammatory or provocative comments
* Ban users who repeatedly violate our rules, after a thorough investigation and warning process
* Mute users who have violated our rules, to prevent further disruptions
* Investigate reports made by users about potential rule violations, and take appropriate action
* Collaborate with our team to develop and implement community engagement strategies
* Provide excellent customer service and support to our community members
* Stay up-to-date with our community guidelines and Discord server settings
**Qualifications**
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* Must have a High School Diploma or GED
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
* Familiarity with Discord and community management principles
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience as a community manager or moderator on Discord or other online platforms
* Knowledge of community guidelines and moderation best practices
