We are looking for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is committed to providing high-quality, standards-based instruction using research-based strategies to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students. Essential Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Illinois Learning Standards. - Use research-based instructional strategies to foster student learning in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. - Collaborate closely with grade-level teams, special education staff, interventionists, and administrators to support student success. - Participate actively in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), team meetings, and data discussions to guide instruction and improve student outcomes. - Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. - Establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and encourages creativity and curiosity. - Use both formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions. - Build and maintain strong, positive communication with students' families to support learning both at school and at home. - Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. - Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students, teams, and building initiatives. - Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood and elementary education. Qualifications - Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsements for Early Childhood (PreK) and/or Elementary Education (K-2). - Experience working with early elementary students preferred. - Strong knowledge of Illinois Learning Standards and developmentally appropriate instructional practices. - Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment. - Familiarity with data-driven instruction and research-based teaching strategies. - Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Commitment to fostering a positive school culture that supports all students. - Ability to adapt to changing needs within the school setting.
