OLLI at DU is a vibrant lifelong learning community serving over 2,000 members annually — adults aged 50 and older. Our member-driven organization relies on volunteer facilitators who share their expertise and passion with fellow learners. Position Summary
The Digital Communications and Technology Specialist manages all technology platforms, digital systems, and communications infrastructure that support OLLI at DU’s programs and member services. This position combines database management, website administration, digital communications, and technical support.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Digital Communications and Technology Specialist oversees the Campus CE registration platform, OLLI websites, Zoom systems, email marketing, and all digital course communications. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create user-friendly resources for members and facilitators. This is a part-time, benefited position at 28 hours per week (75% FTE).
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Operations Manager.
Essential Functions
Database & Registration Systems Management

Platform Management: Manage the Campus CE platform including database maintenance, registration processing, and course setup for all offerings annually

Course Data Entry: Enter all finalized course data, descriptions, facilitator bios, and syllabi into the system for catalog production and online registration

Catalog Proofing: Proof course catalog content for accuracy and completeness; maintain online course calendar ensuring all program updates are current

Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot registration, database, and technology issues; communicate system issues to vendors and support implementation of solutions

Technology Research: Research and evaluate technology solutions for data management and system enhancements; provide recommendations to the Executive Director and Operations Manager and implement approved initiatives

System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and user experience, reporting issues and implementing improvements as directed
Website & Content Management

Website Administration: Manage OLLI at DU main website and registration website, updating content and design in collaboration with the College of Professional Studies; coordinate with Executive Director on website and platform matters

Catalog Production: Coordinate course catalog production (online and print) with PSC Marketing, including proofreading, managing deadlines, liaising with designers, and ensuring accuracy

Digital Calendars: Maintain digital calendars and online program listings; ensure all content meets accessibility and brand standards
Online Learning & Technical Support

Zoom Administration: Set up Zoom meetings for all online courses; provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting for facilitators

Facilitator Portal: Support and troubleshoot the Facilitator Portal in Campus CE; coordinate technical aspects of webinar registrations and platform setup

Training Resources: Develop and update training resources each term for members and facilitators, including webinars, guides, videos, and tutorials

Member Resources: Create tools and resources to assist members with registration, technology use, and access to services
Digital Communications & Marketing

Newsletters: Produce and distribute the weekly member and monthly facilitator newsletters by formatting and designing content supplied by program and marketing staff, with final approval provided by the Executive Director or Director of Programming

Communications Calendar: Develop and execute the organization’s communication calendar to ensure consistent and well-timed member communications

Marketing Materials: Create event flyer designs and assist with marketing materials production

Course Communications: Coordinate all course communications with members using Constant Contact and advanced mail merges, including registration confirmations, Zoom reminders, and program updates

AI & Technology: Use AI and technology tools to streamline communications; identify and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency
Collaboration & Support

Backup Support: Provide backup support to the Member Services Specialist and Program Specialist during high-volume periods, responding to phone, email, and website inquiries

Process Improvement: Implement approved technology solutions that streamline operational processes and improve member experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365), advanced email systems, database systems, registration platforms (Campus CE), customer relationship management software, experience management platforms (Qualtrics), and website content management systems
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Constant Contact or similar) and mass communication tools
- Proficiency with Zoom administration, including meeting setup, troubleshooting, and user support
- Graphic design skills with proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms
- Excellent attention to detail with ability to manage large volumes of data accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Ability to create clear, user-friendly training materials and documentation for non-technical users
- Excellent written communication skills for newsletters, email communications, and member correspondence
- Self-directed work style with ability to manage time effectively in a remote environment
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and technical support to members and facilitators
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent training and experience in technology, information systems, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience managing databases, registration systems, or website administration
- Demonstrated experience with email marketing platforms and digital communications
- Experience with graphic design tools and creating digital marketing materials
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with reliable internet access and appropriate workspace
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, communications, information systems, or related field
- Experience with Campus CE or similar continuing education registration platforms
- Experience creating training materials, webinars, or instructional videos
- Experience in nonprofit, education, or membership-based organizations
- Familiarity with adult education or senior programs
Working Environment
- Remote work environment requiring reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate home office setup
- Occasional virtual meetings during standard business hours for team coordination and planning
- Moderate stress level during peak registration periods and term transitions
Physical Activities

Work Schedule
This is a part-time, non-exempt benefited position working 28 hours per week (75% FTE) remotely. Scheduling is flexible within standard business hours to accommodate peak registration periods, term transitions, and team coordination needs. Hybrid or remote work arrangements may be available in consultation with the Operations Manager and in accordance with the University’s remote work policies.

Salary Grade

Hourly Range
$31.29 – $35.30 per hour (28 hours per week, 75% FTE)
