Edelman is seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Compliance Paralegal & Project Manager to join our Legal & Compliance team in Chicago. This role is ideal for a highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with 5–8 years of experience in-house or at a law firm, with demonstrated expertise in global corporate records management, statutory filings, and project management. This position will support corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and enterprise-wide legal initiatives across multiple jurisdictions around the globe. The ideal candidate is collaborative, intellectually curious and detail-oriented, technologically proficient, and comfortable managing complex global processes in a fast-paced environment. You will join a dynamic global Legal & Compliance team that partners closely with business leaders to enable responsible growth. Key Responsibilities: Corporate Governance & Statutory Compliance Manage and maintain global corporate records, minute books, and entity management systems globally. Coordinate and oversee domestic and international statutory filings, annual reports, director/officer updates, and related compliance requirements. Support entity formations, dissolutions, restructurings, and intercompany governance matters. Partner with outside counsel and global offices to ensure timely and accurate compliance with local corporate requirements and filings. Track and maintain corporate calendars to ensure filing deadlines are met. Project Management & Operational Support Lead and manage cross-functional legal and compliance projects, including corporate clean-up initiatives, governance modernization, and regulatory reporting workflows. Develop and maintain project timelines, trackers, and reporting dashboards. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, documentation, and risk mitigation. Support internal audits and compliance reviews related to corporate governance. Legal & Compliance Team Support Assist with drafting and/or reviewing board resolutions, consents, and corporate documentation. Support policy rollouts and internal governance communications. Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, Tax, HR, and regional business leaders. Serve as a trusted operational partner to attorneys and compliance leadership and be willing to pitch in with processing of legal invoices, team meetings, etc. should your assistance be needed. Basic Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience as a corporate paralegal in-house or at a law firm Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in global corporate records management and statutory filings. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines across jurisdictions. Notary Public (or willingness to become a Notary upon hire). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience using AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to enhance workflow efficiency. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity. Key Competencies Team-oriented and collaborative mindset Curious, proactive, and solutions-driven Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities with an emphasis on being practical Ability to maintain productivity while managing shifting priorities Commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement $60,000 - $92,000 a year #LI-JLF An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
