This is a remote position.
The Opportunity
The equipment rental industry has no authoritative media voice. The trade association publishes newsletters. The largest software vendor pushes product announcements. Nobody is building a trusted, independent content brand that an entire industry reads, shares, and relies on.
Quipli has the foundation to own that position. We have 100 episodes of the Rental Roundtable podcast, a live annual event, leadership dinners for top operators, a growing newsletter, and a platform built around the most important shift happening in this industry: the transition from system of record to system of action.
We are looking for one exceptional person to take everything we have built and turn it into the most important media property in the equipment rental market.
The Context
Quipli is a vertical SaaS company serving the equipment rental industry. We recently launched Quinn: an AI agent platform built for rental operators. Quinn represents the next era of rental software. We are not just building software. We are defining the category.
The person in this role will be the primary author of that story.
What You Will Own
The Newsletter
Today we have a short weekly summary tied to the podcast. You will transform it into the must-read publication for rental operators and industry leaders. Longer. More original. Reported, not just summarized. Think industry benchmarks, operator spotlights, AI explainers written for someone running a three-location rental business, and forward-looking commentary on where the market is going.
The Podcast
Rental Roundtable has 100 episodes and a loyal audience. You will mine the archive for clip series, insight packages, and evergreen content. You will own the production calendar and help develop episode strategy alongside the CEO.
The AI and Agent Narrative
Nobody in this market is clearly and credibly explaining what AI agents mean for rental operators. That is an open field. You will own Quipli's point of view on this shift and make sure our voice is the first one rental operators hear when they start asking questions.
Quinn Case Studies and Customer Stories
Proving that Quinn drives measurable outcomes for customers is a top priority. You will turn those outcomes into stories. Not press releases. Real narratives with real numbers that resonate with operators who are skeptical and busy.
Rental Roundtable Live and Leadership Dinners
We host the Rental Roundtable Live annual event and curated leadership dinners for top operators across the industry. You will help develop the content program and brand identity for both, turning them into must-attend gatherings that operators plan around year after year.
First-Year Outcomes
We are outcomes-oriented. Here is what success looks like by the end of your first year:
- Newsletter subscribers grow 3x with measurable open and forward rates
- Rental Roundtable podcast cross-platform reach grows 50%, driven by a structured clip and repurposing strategy
- Five Quinn customer case studies published with quantified operator ROI
- Quipli is recognized in industry circles as the leading voice on AI and agents in rental software
- A content-to-pipeline attribution model is in place, connecting content touchpoints to new customer conversations
- Rental Roundtable Live has a clear brand identity and content program you helped shape
Requirements
Who You Are
This is not a standard B2B marketing role. We are not looking for someone to run campaigns or manage a HubSpot dashboard. We are looking for someone who thinks like an editor and executes like an operator.
- You have strong writing craft. You can produce a 1,500-word newsletter piece that people actually finish reading.
- You understand B2B SaaS go-to-market well enough to connect content strategy to pipeline and retention.
- You are curious about industrial businesses. You do not need to know rental, but you need to want to learn it deeply and quickly.
- You have done something with video or audio before: edited clips, run a podcast, or produced short-form content at meaningful scale.
- You are comfortable being the sole content person at a fast-moving company. You know how to prioritize and ship.
- You have a genuine point of view on how AI is changing work. You can write about it without sounding like a press release.
Nice to Have
- Experience at a vertical SaaS company or in a niche B2B market
- Experience building or growing a newsletter from scratch
- Basic SEO intuition (not a requirement, but helpful for compound content growth)
- Comfort ghostwriting for a founder voice
