A Collections Clerk is responsible for calling delinquent customers in order to resolve their outstanding bills in addition to handling over flow calls from our Blue Ridge call center. When taking over flow calls, will act as a Customer Service agent to handle inquiries about our products and services and any complaints they may have in a friendly and professional manner.
General responsibilities include:
- Answering phones and making collection calls
- Handling BRC customer billing inquiries and resolutions as well as inquiries about products and services
- Name changes
- Social Security Number Review Checks
- BRC account reviews
- Delinquencies
- Refunds
- Bankruptcies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
- Established residency in Pennsylvania
- Previous experience in a customer service, collections and/or call center environment preferred
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel and Word
- Strong Computer Skills
- Excellent Customer Relations Skills
- Excellent Communication Skills – Oral and Written
- Strong Typing / Data Entry Skills
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Ability to use basic office equipment
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle and resolve complaints in a friendly and professional manner
