Associate Business Developer

Rasmussen University is seeking an Associate Business Developer to help build corporate relationships with large employers and establish agreements that will drive enrollments to Rasmussen University. This position will work closely with the Senior Business Developer in establishing national employer relationships and will assist in prospecting efforts within a large territory.
Individuals interested in this role must be polished professionals with intermediate sales experience and driven to take the next step in their sales career. The Associate Business Developer will have an opportunity to significantly impact the strategic needs and drive future growth for the corporate team.
Responsibilities:
In summary, we envision the Associate Business Developer working closely with the Senior Business Developer to drive the following activities. As the Associate Business Developer further develops sales skills / competencies, he / she will be expected to drive sales more independently commensurate with performance.
- Consultative Selling
- Helping secure national book of business
- Formulate strategic sales plan to ensure goals and objectives are met or exceeded
- Execute a multi-dimensional approach to account prospecting
- Create and implement a corporate alliance strategy that provides value to alliances at Rasmussen University, through the continuous development and maintenance of relationships.
- Build knowledge-based trust
- Networking, Development & Prospecting
- Cultivate and establish new corporate education alliances through cold-calling, face-to-face interactions, and professional and social networking
- Identify, pursue, and develop alliances with businesses, government agencies, organizations, unions, and professional trade associations
- Assist in the building of sales pipelines in order to maintain constant growth and presents sales pipeline overviews to internal stakeholders
- Conduct executive-level meetings with alliances and outline future strategy and growth plans.
- With assistance, negotiate contracts and strategic marketing initiatives with large alliances that allow them to leverage their tuition assistance programs and create degree pathways for their employees with little to no out-of-pocket
- Document daily alliance activity within Salesforce
- On occasion, the Associate Business Developer will execute lead generation activities as needed and assigned.”

Account Implementation
- Assist in providing leadership and strategy recommendations to Account Management team to optimize their efforts and drive growth for newly formed alliances
- Provide internal stakeholders with accurate industry updates and trends.
- Set standards for the highest level of professional behavior, lead by example, and model successful behaviors
- Adhere to the appropriate information security policies based on the sensitivity of company data and report any security related issues.
Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the VP of Workforce Solutions.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, Marketing, Education, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years’ of consultative sales experience selling intangible products.
- Strategic thinking in structuring complicated product sales
- Experience selling to and influencing external senior level stakeholders
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experienced with creation and implementation of sales and territory plans
- Experienced with in-person or virtual remote sales presentations with C-Suite & Executive levels
- Robust networking skills, relationship building, and collaboration skills within a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
- Preferred experience within higher education or as a healthcare professional with sales experience.
- Excellent organization, time management, written, verbal and communication skills
- Strong understanding of higher education business development
- Proficient with Salesforce or comparable CRM preferred
- Estimated travel of up to 25% - nationwide
