Accounting Analyst, Sustainability Reporting

The Accounting Analyst, Sustainability Reporting, will assist in the preparation of the Company’s sustainability filing requirements. In addition, the successful candidate will monitor and research new and evolving sustainability regulations and will be involved in setting and documenting sustainability reporting policies. Principal Duties: Assists in preparing the Company’s sustainability filings including local regulatory reporting. Assists with project management activities related to drafting of filings and controls to support the completeness and accuracy of the reporting. Monitors global sustainability regulations and coordinates with the legal department and other parties as needed for regulatory interpretation. Communicates with business units regarding applicability of specific regulations and manages regular meetings with business units. Assists with sustainability policy related items, which may include any or all of the following: Research and preparation of sustainability reporting policies for newly issued or amended sustainability guidance and regulations; Maintain and enhance sustainability reporting policies; Apply policy to emissions calculations, collaborating with the corporate sustainability team; Assist in reviewing and documenting Internal Control processes. Works with other functional areas in RGA to achieve efficient and effective practices and procedures and responds to requests from other functional areas on various inquiries. Recommends and assists in implementing process improvements. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Accounting/Finance required Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in Accounting preferred Work Experience: 5+ Years accounting or auditing experience required Public accounting experience preferred Insurance auditing / accounting experience preferred Certifications and Licenses: CPA or progress towards CPA Skills & Abilities Basic Word and Intermediate Excel skills. Power Bi is preferred. Complex investigative, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze complex sets of data. Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge. Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions. Must be flexible and adaptive to change. Takes initiative and is accountable. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables. Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives. Ability to work well with all levels of management. Compensation Range: $78,080.00 - $110,860.00 Annual Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
